Well, I’ve reached the ripe old age of 30. For years now I have been saying, ‘ I want to write a blog’ , ‘ I must write a blog’ , ‘I really want to write a blog’ but somehow life has always got in the way and it just hasn’t happened- until now. But why now? Why not when I was 18 or 21 or even 25? The answer is simple. At 30 I have finally reached a point in my life where I feel happy and confident within myself, my beliefs and opinions. Before this I was very much guilty of caring about what others thought and then worrying about it. I suppose it’s almost like I’ve had a mini epiphany. I don’t mean I woke up on my 30th birthday in a shroud of light with angels singing around me but more that I’ve realised I’m happy in my own skin, I’m happy to be me.
A little bit about me:
As you know by now, I’m 30 years old (although apparently I look 25) and I’m happy in my own skin. But who is the real Jessica Ruth? Well, I will tell you….
I was born on 3rd June 1985 to my amazing parents Eve and Colin and I have pretty much caused them trouble ever since. I have a younger brother who I love to terrorise ( in a loving way of course) and I am unequivocally and categorically single- more about that later.
I’m a healthcare recruitment consultant by day and ( hopefully) a super blogger by night- one can dream can’t they?!
I love all things fashion, taking pictures of my outfits and hash-tagging them all over Instagram (check it out little_lady_jess) and I am very guilty of being a selfie queen.
I’m a girlie girl, I get my nails done, my hair done, I wear lashes, fake tan and I love glitter, piercings and tattoos. I’m just a normal girl and that’s what my blogs about. The life, trials and tribulations of a single, fashion-mad 30 year old.
I hope you like it!
Peace, love and huggles,
Jessica Ruth xxx
